Top photo is the state I bought it, bottom is inching back to stock appearances (bumper, wheels, seats, grill). I know it has spent most of its life in Florida, Georgia, then the last few years in Colorado. Some paint in the doorjambs indicate it might have been red at one point, and has an Alligator Alley sticker inside/under the rear tailgate window - anyone recognize it?

Hello fellas. I have never owned a land cruiser let alone any 4wd vehicle. I'm more of a two wheel enthusiast until a few years ago when I began fantasizing of driving to South america with my dirt bike and I couldn't think of any other vehicle than a diesel land cruiser to help facilitate this dream into reality.

1984 FJ60
Carlos L
Haven’t named a car before so am not sure I’ll start now. Then again, I have not had a car this cool before, so I’ll let the kids come up with this one
340K+
Recent paint. Custom bumpers. Oil pressure gauge. PO said he did a rebuild on the engine, I don’t have any paper work so not sure. Wheels and tires.
This will be a semi daily driver and full time family fun truck.

3. 180,000 Kilometers. With new 2F coming soon.
4. All stock/original except for wheels.
5. Keeping it stock. Maybe a roof rack later
6. It's fun just to look at it in my garage after driving it in South America. I'll take for a spin it occasionally during summer weekends; wife and kids love it. The intention is to keep it as clean as it is to pass it to my kids later on; I'm doing the same with my 1971 FJ40 and 1978 FJ43.

hey nice rig, i see your leaf springs are on top of the axle how did this work out? did you extend brake lines or anything?

Hey Gabe, nice truck! I'll answer your spring question for you. It's called SOA which stands for Spring Over Axle, our fj60s come stock SUA under axle. When you lift these trucks you have the option of getting lift springs like yours which are pretty much bolt on and minimal adjustments, or you can do a spring over which requires, welding, fabrication, extending brake lines, etc. Just search SOA in the 60 forum and enjoy, plenty of stuff to keep you reading for days.
