I saw on City Racer's site that he has OEM Toyota Jerry can mounts that are listed as for the 60 series. I have NEVER seen a 60 with an OEM mount installed. Where/how does it mount up in/on a 60?

Now another question: Can the NATO Jerry can fit in it? I have two new NATO cans (the legit, Wavian cans) and would love to be able to carry one of them for longer road trips until I'm back on my feet and can spend the money on a 4x4Labs bumper with the dual Jerry can carrier.

Many of them in the Middle East. Here is one I spotted in KSA.

Ooohhh, looks like only do-able with ambulance doors. Bummer. Would've been cool to have an OEM mount until I can get the fancy bumper.

Even though they're not vented I don't want to have them inside the truck....

I've used NATO cans for over 25 years and still use them. I too don't have a dedicated way to carry them. I've carried them inside the rig with no issues and also on top of the rig. The big thing is to make sure they are secured. They aren't going to leak, but they are heavy when full.

I might have to reconsider. I wouldn't do it with an empty can or for long term storage, but maybe for a full can during a road trip would be alright. At that though I wonder how well a NATO can fits the OEM mount. OEM would certainly be cool.

Don't get me wrong. I would prefer a dedicated spot on the bumper. It just doesn't currently exist. And I'm betting the OEM ones are almost all on diesel rigs.

For me, I fear getting smacked by a 35 pound projectile in an wreck more than a fire.

Gas and diesel:

Gas: GCC specification with barn doors and a 3F engine:

Diesel: General Markets with 3B:

Of course Onur show up to correct me. However, I still bet the majority of them are on diesels. I'm just not betting with Onur. Ever. ;)

Does anyone know where I could source those hinges? I have a FJ60 with barn doors and would love to use the OEM hinges to add the carrier.
