Quick question for the cruiser gods on the site here. Are there any other vehicle springs that will fit on a 60 series without any modification? Thanks.

FJ62 springs, but that's it.

63 inch Chevy will fit with hanger location changes

well ive only heard good thing about chevys on 60s, but ive got first hand experience putting them on my buddies pick up... it was night and day amazing... and pretty easy to do too

im sure someone smarter will chime in

Sweet. I am in the process of fixing/breaking my truck. It seems like everything i try to fix i end up breaking somehting else in the process. I am getting near the springs and shackles and one leaf pack is lready broken so I got to do something. What model's are the 63" springs off of on the chevy's? I would imagine you can cut off the spring mounts as well? Thanks.

Hold your horses chief. I did this and it ended badly. I took off the OMEs that I had and put on the 63" Chevys when I did the SOA conversion as the Chevys were flatter and I didn't want the rig to stinkbug or sit too high. Well, I found out that the OMEs were vastly superior for this vehicle; I put them back on using a new fixed mount to keep the spring as close to the frame as possible and a new shackle mount/length/angle combo to minimize static height and maximize articulation. I could never get the Chevys to ride correctly. The vehicle would wobble side to side no matter what I did with the shocks and it wouldn't carry the weight as well (I ran three leafs for the proper height, I've seen people run only two. I don't expect everybody to have these isuues, every rig is built differently.) I tried different things not wanting to do it over, but in the end they came off and the OMEs went back on. I now have about 180K and 12 years on my OMEs and I love them, they just do everything well. It was money well spent in my opinion.

Send a PM to CaliCruiser who is running the Chevy springs on his SOA 60. It's a very sweet set up. Most people use the 3/4 ton Chevy springs for wagons, which have 5 total leaves The 1/2 tons are too light but the mini-truck guys love them.

Anyway, the application you want is 88 and up 3/4 ton chevy pick up.

Thanks guys. Does anybody have any pics of their rigs on the Chevy springs? I am looking for about 3-4" and didnt know if thsi would do it. Thanks for the help.
