My 86 stock, desmogged 2F is getting a good 14 MPG mix highway and in town. The best I've gotten so far was 18 MPG driving from Idaho Falls, ID to Ft Worth, Tx. I've also got an H55 tranny so that helps out a lot as well as the 31" tires.
