I have not wheeled the cruiser for over 2.5 years. Its been sitting in the driveway with little use until 4 months ago and since then have been
daily driving it. There is an idling issue that exist right now that I have not figured out. It bounces a little and revs a little higher than needed
in park and neutral. There is a small leak in the air tank or compressor as well that I have not traced down.

Im sure there are some details Im leaving out but it is alot of truck and Im not thrilled to be posting this ad up either but I need to do it. I paid 25,000 and have invested well over 8000.00. Selling Price $22,000. Im sure there are those that will have opinions on this but this is what I need out of it. The previous owner gave me a binder with the details of the truck build as well as receipts upwards of 50,000. This is a dream cruiser for someone especially if you can wrench but keep in mind its a speciality truck and is far from stock. If you are serious about the truck and want further questions answered please pm or email me. mevans1975@msn.com More pics if needed. I have a spare driveline as well. Pics below show old radiator but it has a FJ62 one now.

Well things havent worked out like I thought. I was just laid off as well so Im putting up for sale again PERMANENTLY. The truck is at Landcruiser NW here in Portland getting some work done.
Steering Box Rebuilt
New Ron Davis Custom Radiator with fans
Some electrical work as well.
28,000 Firm. Im going to be putting at least a couple thousand into the work mentioned above so I will not be lowering the price. I still owe 12,000 on the truck so the title is with the bank. At this point I might consider some trade plus cash on a well built 80's series or a lower milage clean stock 96-97 80's series with factory lockers.

This is one of my all time favorite trucks. I have had the pleasure of sharing the trail with it twice, with 2 different owners. This truck did awesome on the Rubicon and turned a lot of heads.

Matt-sorry you need to sell, but I certainly understand your priorities. Good luck. You have a great, great truck. I hope it goes to a deserving new owner.

Just for people not familiar with Ivan Stewart....some news that popped up on him today:

From the interwebs:

But the biggest local news of the week regards an entry in the following weekend's Baja 1000 off-road race.

Ivan Stewart will be racing for the first time since 2000 as part of a three-driver Toyota team running a factory-prepared 4Runner.

“I always said I wasn't retired, just in between opportunities,” the 64-year-old desert legend and member of the Breitbard Hall of Fame said yesterday.

“Here's an opportunity.”

Stewart will be driving the final 175 miles of the race from Valle de Trinidad back to the Ensenada start/finish line.

Toyota's main reason for entering the race is to desert test the new 4Runner. The sports utility vehicle will be stock aside from the tires, wheels, shocks and required safety equipment.

Bump and Update
I am open to just selling the engine out of the truck as well. I have to do some research to look at pricing but if anyone is interested pm me. New 2000 Mercruiser Marine 502 EFI 435hp/520lbsft Mec Factory multiport fuel injection and computer with 96 chevy truck accessories.
Thanks
Ad for engine is in parts section.

Hate to see you sell the truck Matt but I do agree it is the right thing!

Let me know if I can help with anything!

Clint

Still up for sale.
Truck now has a new ron davis radiator(1300.00) and fans, rebuit steering box, and new plug wires. Work was done at LC Northwest.
The Bad- Within the past 2 or 3 months the truck has had a random issue of wanting to stall. I have done a complete tune up along with a few other attempts to solve the problem and for now it seems fixed. However the truck is not being driven but maybe once a week now and regardless I am done spending money on it. I believe its as solid as its gonna get. Price still stands at 28,000.

Prolly a dumb question, but is that an inboard engine from a boat? If so, why?

cause the original builder owned a boat shop...

and its bad ass.

free bump, unfortunatly, heck maybe someone will bring it back to texas.

:eek:What a sweet rig! I have been a commercial captain since 97 and have run these engines "hard" in various parasail boats day in and day out all summer long in Duck N.C. with no trouble at all. Never thought I would see one in a 60 series Cruiser... bad ass indeed. If the price ever gets closer to 20K for any reason give me a shout. Best of luck with it... I say keep it! :steer: Bumpity bump bump
