I have a brand new converter installed in my 24V BJ40 to run my lights on a 24V M101. I have checked the wiring 3 times, and can't figure this out...when I'm running, with no taillight signal going to the box, the box is outputting a taillight signal, with a tailight signal going to the box, I also get a taillight signal, so as soon as I start the truck and power the box, the trailer taillights are on. In addition, when a left or right turn signal goes to the box, I get both left and right signals coming out of the box, resulting in flashing lights when either signal is on....

Anyone know what the heck is going on here???

At the risk of sounding like a retard..I'm going with bad grounds, either on the vehicle or the trailer. My therory is both lights blinking is an indicator. Your mission, if you should decide to accept it, freshen up both grounds. spray them with some clear sealer and report back by 1600 hours..good luck :hillbilly:

no, great idea..that was what I was leaning to..esp with a glass body....I've had ground problems before, just didn't know how they would manifest themselves in this case....

I took the grounds right off the negative of the battery...still no go..I'm not even using the trailer harness yet...just a tester on the output of the box...

I'm losing my mind, everything is where it is supposed to be, yet if I put the right or left signal on on the truck, both right and left blink on the output of the converter box...

I have a 3 hour haul this weekend, I need to get this working... anyone help?

First forget the trailer and use a test light to be sure your converter is correctly connected.

I did that...I was still getting two sigbals out of the converter...

I did the next best thing...converted the trailer to 5 wire...problem solved, no converter required....

sorry to waste space here : )

*SLAP* :hhmm: :bang: :meh:   :hillbilly:
