Yes I will have to take it in to be checked under warranty, (as well as other probs) but I was woundering if anybody else has had this problem.
The problem - The transmission does not change out of 3rd into 4th/5th when Drive is selected, it will kick down, but not kick up past 3rd. (The selecter light on the dash says "D" and the gear shift is in "D")
When it happens - It appears to happen after I am driving up a hill and decend then try to drive away at the bottom, sometimes it kicks down to third while decending the hill(does this itself happen to anyone else) . It also happens possibly when towing, decelerating then powering on, as if a deceleration sensor or something is saying, hey the vehicle is being pushed without the drivers foot on the throttle, and it tells the ECU to enginge brake or kick back to third.
The fix - I had to shut the vehicle down and restart it to "clear the problem" on Thursday and on Sunday I managed to get by, by selecting neutral and back into drive.
Does anyone have a FSM on the 5 speed with all the logic on how it works?
