4x4 Labs bumper owners: trailer rental hassles?

Question:

Those of you that have a 4x4 Labs bumper: can you rent a trailer? Or do rental places demand an "official" Class-rated trailer hitch?

I have rented from uhaul and had no issues. I did have to use a hitch with a massive drop though.
