I will be at the 4XFest, so count me in on the event as well as include me in on a team for the Jeep Pull.

Come on guys.....we have a little over a week until this event and I would like to see us hit 15 rigs. Also, I will be looking for anyone that can help me get our tent set up and taken down and what ever else needs to be done.

Does anyone know if one can buy advance tickets to the 4xfest. Barring any complications I do believe we will be attending :)

It starts at 10 a.m. What time are the N.O. area guys going up? Convoy? Causeway to I-12 to Hammond?

Best bet is i-10-i-55... it will bring you right into hammond at a much shorter distance

4xFest 4-Man Jeep Pull Competition - June 23, 2012

This event is simply a fundraiser for TARC Family Services. We are asking for everyone to do their best to either put together a team of their own or encourage a group or organization to come out and "PULL FOR TARC". Good groups for this competition could be local High School sports teams, Fitness Centers, Church Groups, Families, Friends, Police & Fire Departments. Where as winning would be great for anyone, we are simply asking for you or your friends to make the pull for this worthy cause.

Registration Time : 10:00am
Start Time : 11:00
Distance : 100 Feet
Surface : Grass Field (pending city approval, Asphalt Road)
Jeep : Mr. Irving Coupel's Red Jeep Wrangler
Method : 4 individual 20ft nylon tow straps, fixed to the front bumper.
Competition : Team with Best Time Wins
Entry Fee : $25/Person = $100/4-Man Team

Procedure :
1. The front tire will be placed on the starting line.
2. Participants take their places with straps in hand.
3. Race starts when the official honks the horn.
4. Race ends when the front tire touches the finish line.

The vehicle will be in neutral during the pull. An official will be inside the Jeep throughout the competition for safety. For safety reasons, if any puller falls down or their line falls to the ground, the official will hit the brake and the race will have to be restarted. Each team is allowed one restart.
 
I need volunteers to help with manning our tent for 30 min slots, maybe 4 or 5 people for this. Please let me know who wants to help out with this. I will also need some help with set up and take down. It shouldn't take long for either one but I don't want everyone to leave me trying to wrestle everything at the end of the day
