I recently purchased a 4WD indicator switch replacement from @ToyotaMatt. What is the skill level to replace in a FJ62? Is it difficult to remove the old switch? My driveshaft will lock with 4WD push button, but the green light indicator in dash does not light up. And it's not a bulb issue. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

you need a Metric open end wrench

due to the wires involved a socket or box end will not work

Lefty = Loose'y
Right'y = Tight 'y

make sure u use the included new oem aluminum crush ring ,

rotate it in by hand till it seats , then use wrench snug it down NO more then 1/2 turn .....

no gear oil should come out , but if any does put that same amount back in .....the T-Case filler service plug ...

make sure the OLD crush ring comes off with the old switch , if not make sure it's not still stuck / attached to the T-case itself

make sense ?
