Renata and I are planning on a weekend trip starting Friday 5 July 19 unless Bernallio County Court clears the docket then we will be able to leave on the 4th.
This will be our new Gazelle T4 Plus tents virgin outing and we need to do a review on setup and takedown.
There are some pretty fun trails in the area that can be challanging when going up them as well as one I scared myself on off of 604 going down. I chickened out as I had come close to setting Guilty Pleasure on her side, I would be sleeping in the doghouse had I done that!
Everone is welcome most likely camp in one of the meadows off of 607 35°51'22.2"N 106°39'36.5"W

FYI, There was a prescribed burn near that area this last weekend. Check out info on NM Fire Info. Hope it is over by next weekend. Can't make this one. Have a good time. Lots of good FR's up there.

We where in the area this weekend and the winds where out of limits. I don't think they did the burn. I also could not find any prescribed burns listed in nmfires. There was one on on the signs heading up 4 but it was near the Caldera. Any way thanks for the heads up. Had a great weekend in the RV though 😁

I'll be there!!!

MyNomad nothing has changed other than folks looking at the thread. We will be there Friday early evening. If you go up on Wednesday or Thursday find a place near the coordinate I posted and we will meet up.

I'll see if I can convince the family to head out on Saturday morning. We just returned from a 10 day trip to Yellowstone, so they might want to take it easy for another weekend. The 2016 Trail worked out well - had a Front Runner roof rack, Dobinsons drawers, Rago side panels, and a Snomaster fridge. We had 3 adults and 2 kids with gear to cover us from 20 and snow to 70 and sun and somehow it all fit!

WOW that sounds like you had fun. It would be great to see you all up in the Jemez!

Theres a possibility that we(wife and 3 kids) will be joining you all. We were supposed to go to Carlsbad Caverns, but the weather down there may not play fair.

Come on up we are leaving ABQ at 1630.

Yes it is a little rough going down into the valley but you can take the explorer down there. Maybe a 50' stretch with some ruts.

We will meet at the country store just off of hwy 4/126 intersection between 430 and 5

Have fun all - we’re going to head up further north and find a spot somewhere along the Rio Chama.
