I am not sure if you make these or if this is something your found online?! I like the design, it looks robust enough, quality coating and welds and the skate board tape on the steps is a nice touch too. I am not sure how I feel about the hinge for the window, it makes sense and allows you to continue to use the window but it's kinda funky sticking out like that for the sake of the simple use of the window. Im sure the hinge pins are more than strong enough but it's now a clip and pin (x4) to lose or keep track of. Lastly, the price is insane, I can't see many people paying $425+ shipping for a simple ladder that Gobi sells for far less, albeit without the complexity of the hinge. Of course this is just one mans opinion and I personally have no use for such an item so it doesn't factor. Im sure they will sell regardless.
I guess you have never had the rear cargo area full to the brim. In a recent move my only choice was to open the back glass. If I opened the rear door everything would spill out. The fabricator did well adding in that design element IMO.
just wanted to chime in since that’s my GX he fitted it onto. I’ve been running it since then and have love the fact that it take into consideration the rear window. Yup I don’t use the window often but if I ever did, I think it’s better to have the option. As far as fitment goes, I took it off and on and the only recommendation I would have is to leave the adhesive tape along and fit it first marking placement of the window trim bracket with some blue tape. Then get the adhesive ready for reinstall. The brackets alone are extremely strong but if you just eyeball it with the adhesive, you’ll be fighting with the stickiness.
Just a heads up. When I tried refit I had a hard time lining up the bracket with the bottom half of the ladder when attempting to hook the bottom on first and pushing the top towards the bracket. It looked off by like 1-2 inches. But then I slide the bottom half of the ladder in from the side of the door from left to right (obviously lol) it lines right up.
My issue was no matter what I did I could not get enough clearance between the top ladder step and the part that is affixed to the spoiler. I think my responses and feedback will result in a modified window bracket. There are mount gaps he is addressing as well.

Heads up too. He just got back the side ladders all powder coated. The fitment was spot on when we tried it. I’ll ping him about a second batch to see timing.
honestly I like both but it depends on your set up. I have the rear mounted up now and love it. But I’m looking at a possible rear set up with tire carrier and cans or storage and will end up with the side ladder so I still have access to the roof. Plus I really like that the side ladder isn’t on many rigs right now. I like to be unique.
The side ladder is done extremely well and super easy to put on and off.
Is it possible to "kick" one's foot into the side and ding or scratch your rear quarter panel?
I don't see a lot of purchase for ones toes, especially if they're wearing a shoe with little to no sole support or bear foot.

I mean it’s possible but when we climbed up it’s just like when climbing up the rear, I’m cautious about it. There’s enough room to comfortably climb up just like any other ladder. I climb ladders with my toes and ball of my foot at most. There’s also grip tape there as well which was a nice touch.
Just installed it (nashfabco ladder). Pretty easy, but you definitely want to tape off the top plate mounting location before committing to the stick. So much easier, now, to climb up on top. Oh, and had excellent customer service from the manufacturer
