Update, we have 17 trucks including one I spotted in eBay (#237):

168666 100 WA WA Emerald
170952 237 TX TX Sage
171508 277 TX TX Emerald
172332 360 CA CA Sage
175350 908 GA AL Sage
172923 1299 FL IN Sage
175200 1672 CA CA Sage
176394 1678 KY IN Sage
176126 1892 OK UT Sage
170033 2859 IL CO Sage
171499 2907 CA CA Sage
176206 3133 CA MI Sage
176319 3522 OR OR Emerald
175057 3727 NJ TX Sage
174594 4285 AZ NV Sage
174132 4623 NY SC Sage
174707 4825 KS NE Sage

I am making some early assumptions:

1. That the badge numbers went from 100 to 5000.
2. That TMS first mixed all the numbers up and sent them out.
3. That a whole lot more trucks were sage than emerald.

Also, I spoke at length with the marketing department at TMS. No one has any recollection of anything to do with this program. Go figure.

Jim,
I know there is a badge out there w/ 002. My friend that has a 40th too (which I will have info for you soon) just showed me a badge he got off this truck. I didn't think it was true but he showed me and it was 002. I will try and get more details on the truck.

Steve

I beleive I have spotted at least three sage 40th's currently for sale here in the Pac NW. I'll see what I can run down.

Cool, well that kills one supposition. So he actually removed the badge?

He does home inspections and the home owner was selling the truck. The truck was in bad shape and the home owner said he could take whatever so he just snatch the badge. It was coming off already supposedly. So someone is driving around w/ their badge missing.

How the hell do you trash out a 7 year old luxury truck? Idiots I tell ya, just f^%$#@g idiots.

Cruiserdrew's emerald is missing from your list. There are at least a half dozen 40th's in ABQ. I do not know the current owners off hand.

I am sure they will slowly come around if we keep the thread alive. Send 'em my way if you see or talk to them. We only have 4982 to go.

Took the words right out of my mouth!!! I couldn't believe it when he told me how the truck was handled.

Bunch of stuck up posers. :flipoff2:

Everybody knows 93 was the best vintage by far. :D

I'm looking to buy one ;) I just missed out on a sage one this past week that sold here in town in 2 days hopefully to a cruiser head!!

if you lived near buggerville I'd be able to point you to one going up for sale in a few weeks :D

seriously, they are available - I really don't see the big deal with a 40th

AZ is a little far from Buggerville but thanks...the big deal is all esthetics (ie. black chrome badges, two tone interior, badging and cool sage color. Also being a cruiser head it is just cool to own a limited 40 annv model, but to each his own)

By NO MEANS would I make any extra effort to try and buy a 40th. There is nothing unique about them other than color and two-tone leather. When I was looking this last time, finding a 40th wasn't even on my list, it just happened that this truck was everthing else I was wanting. Though I like the color, the only real bennie to me is the body side molding.

Just put down deposit ona 97 advertised as a "40th" but it is BLACK with single-tone tan leather interior and labled "Collectors Edition." VIN ends 0186749

I emailed the seller and told him it wasn't a 40th...his reply was that all 97's are 40th editions and only the first few were badged as such. :censor: right! Whatever! Most dealers don't have a clue what they have and what they are talking about.

Also #2778 sage is for sale on Slee's sight anyone know who's truck that is? and what the story is on the hood scoop?
