anyone have a choke knob/cable from a later model 40 with a barrel style end vs plain wire where it connects to the carb?

or have suggestion how to connect plain wire style choke cable to a 60 series carb?

thanks

I made one for an engine transplant last year, used a wire rope crimp we had at work. works well.
the crimp is a double barrel, put 1 wire in each side and press together with tool.

$35 shipped to your door if you dont feel like adapting it.

I'm finding videos on youtube of guys basically casting their own lead barrels on to various control cables... clean up the end well, rough it up/fray the cable so it will grab, then flux and cast in a DIY mold cavity - seems relatively simple and effective. Anyone done this vs crimping an end on?

Eric, I fabricated one by cutting out a section of a bolt the correct diameter, drilled a small hole through it installed it to get the right length marked it then removed it and soldered the cable to the bolt section.
