Fortunately I got to go hunting today. Unfortunately, I can't get my 1990 FJ62 out of 4 wheel drive :/

Yeah yeah, I did all the regular stuff.

I tried disengaging it in park, neutral, drive and reverse. I tried running a tire up on a big curb and nothing seems to work.

Any ideas?

I've heard of transfer cases getting stuck in 4 LO, but I was just in 4 HI.

Any help is appreciated!:)

Mine stuck in 4WD on our trash run last weekend. Just like you, I tried the shifter in various positions to no avail. Finally, I put it in reverse and slipped the clutch, causing the rig to back a couple inches, and then it came right out of 4WD easily.

HTH

you say you did the regular stuff?? such as?

could either be a vacum leak, old lines to or from the selenoid switch on the pass side firewall.

or more than likely the selenoid switch itself.

search as there is a way to switch the lines to disengage the Tcase. also a lowbuck retro fit to fix the problem.

I read through some old threads and tried the 'regular' stuff that was being suggested there.

I'll take these recommendations and go with them.

Thanks!
