OK, bought these tires from another Mudder, 31 x 9.50 super swampers, about 3000 total miles, all street, I picked up the wheels had them sandblasted, put 3 coats of rust-o-leum gray over primer, put them on the 40 and dont like the way they look, the rear wheel opening has been cut on my truck, I just dont like the way they look, so I am going to let them go, tries are excellent, hubcap clips are perfect, minor pitting in the wheels, not bad enough to worry about unless you are doing a concourse resto, the only issue is there are 2 welded wheels and 2 riveted wheels, no problem for me as I am running drums at all 4 corners.
I live in So Cal near Magic Mountain, so pick up along the 5, 14 or 405 is not a big deal, would prefer not to ship or break apart but might do it on your dime, I am thinking $ 500.00 ?

BUMP

Sunday Night Bump, 62 looks, no questions, what has to change?

Monday Night Bump, $ 500.00 bucks too high? These have to be useful to somebody, I can even run them up to SNT if that helps.

I'm going to take a guess as why these aren't sold. The price is reasonable to me as they are $143 Ea. from 4Wheel parts, so there pretty new and you get wheels too! I'm guessing the size is throwing some folks off as they are a bit small for a good many of us. Bump for a good deal.

wish they were closer i would pick them up shipping would kill

Thanks xcmountain, you are probably correct, even though they measure out at 32" most everybody has moved beyond 33's to 35's and up, and honestly thats why they look out of place on my rig, I have a couple guys interested but shipping may be an issue, I am trying to find an affordable deal, having never shipped anything like this I am starting from scratch:hhmm:

Shipping has got to be a killer, I heard that Greyhound ships cheap, but there isnt a greyhound anywhere near me, so I would have to just drop off at the local UPS shipping store, probably a deal killer, you are more than welcome to check the shipping and make the arrangements, if you still want to do the deal I will reduce the price by that amount:cool:

Really dont want to break these things down then do the shipping, I am sure you can find rims closer to home for damn near what it would cost for this deal:cool:

Steve,
Would you sell just the rims?/How much?
Thanks, Allen

OK, guys within splitting the gas distance, give me $400.00 bucks, I can meet you on the side of the fwy, you can come to my town, I will buy you a beer, I just picked up some Red Trolley Ale, you can hang at my garage for a bit and down a few, if one of you guys doesnt get excited I am going to have to try Craigs list, the problem is I probably will never use the tires, they will rot and then nobody gets to use them, I would rather pass them along to somebody that appreciates them.:)

Shot you a PM. BTT

wish they were closer i want some stock wheels BAD

-quick question im learning about stock wheels- whats the difference between welded and rivited? mines an 80 and has disc brakes up front drums in the rear would these work?

The main difference between the two is caliper clearance. If I remember correctly the two riveted rims that are being sold came off my rig when I upgraded my front axle to disks.

So the main thing is that the rivets interfere with the caliper clearance on the backside of the rim. So you have to use spacers on the front end in order to clear the caliper and not destroy your rims and breaks. The later model welded rims didn't have the back clearance issue. Since in this deal you get two welded and two riveted you could run them on a 40 with disks up front and drums in the rear. Just be careful when rotating your tires.

Either way, bump for a great price.

Thanks SLO, yeah they were your wheels, they sanblasted and painted up real nice, and you are correct about the difference in wheels, and its really only a difference of about 3/16's for the rivet head.
Thanks for the bump, I just put these wheels/tires on the L.A. Craigs List, for $500.00, $400.00 for just the tires, I would much rather a Mudder get them, so if somebody wants them call it $400.00 for tires and wheels, sorta local is best for me or you figure out shipping and dollars from 91350:D

I'm interested and in North San Diego(Oceanside). I am taking delivery on an FJ-40 with no lift and I think these wheels would fit. I'm about an hour or less from Magic Mountain. I'll PM you tommorrow with more info.

Just let me know, they are taking up valuable space in my garage:D

Thanks Everybody for the interest, I just sold them 15 min ago, they went to another happy FJ 40 owner:D
