3FE with a knock (1 Viewer)

Hey guys a while back my son's FJ60 developed a knock so we replaced the motor with a used 3FE. I could never pinpoint the knock but guess it was a rod or crank bearing getting ready to go. Having said that the old 3FE is sitting on an engine stand and I was wondering if it worth anything to anyone for parts? I was going to rebuild it but haven't the time and now I need to make room in the garage.

I'm sure someone will snatch it up if you post it in the classifieds. Someone might just need a head or want to rebuild out of the vehicle. Heck, maybe someone with plans for a 2FE needs the top end.

I have no idea what 3FE with a knock goes for, but there's no harm in asking.

I paid $250 for one to use as a 2fe starter kit- but it came with most of the 3f accessories...
