Howdy all. Came on Mud to look into this issue that my rig started having about two weeks ago ('90 FJ62, engine with around 40k on it). I had never experienced anything but really smooth running and acceleration but then I had some work performed on it and when I picked it up from the shop I noticed a hesitation in low RPM acceleration and while idling. The work I had performed was new belts and new spark plugs. I of course can't say for sure the new problems were because of the work performed but the probability is just too high to ignore. My mechanic claims the problems aren't related so I'm trying to sleuth on my own. Can someone further describe "carbon tracking" to me?
