My new to me 91 does not have the hoses attached to the distributor. On my 40 there is a filter in the cab and another line run to the air filter. It appears that there is a hose coming from the firewall to a small can under the air cleaner but the hose then runs to the air filter. I'm guessing that should go to one side of the dist cap.Does any one have a pic of where these lines go?

Dang, nothing on this? I am having the same questions!

I disconnected two hoses from the distributor cap, figured it wouldn't be an issue since they are different sizes and now i have 3 hoses with no place to go somehow (2 are the same size)! haha

Anyone?:flush:

The back vent goes to a one-way valve going to the fire wall (shown big tape after one way valve) The front one goes to air cleaner top (top hose shown with small blue tape). Here's a pic of the two.
Honestly if you get either one of those switched, the dist cap knows no difference. It's just two holes in the cap.

The hose with the bigger blue tape goes to the firewall and then to the distributor? Mine is hooked up to a valve that is then hooked up to another valve which then goes to both the charcoal canister and then towards the egr system. Maybe it was routed wrong when I bought it? I'll post a picture. Let me know what you think? Thanks

Yes, The hose with the bigger blue tape goes to the firewall and to the distributor. There is a one way check valve in the hose between the distributor and firewall. I will have to get back with you on which way the one way valve goes.

Does this schematic look correct to you? It's from the Toyota/Lexus parts catalog and is for a 1991 (which I have). My other post, I stated it was a '92 by mistake. But I believe it is identical to the '91. Anyway, all of the hoses coming from the air filter housing don't seem to go directly to the distributor.
