I thought I would document the sizes I ended up with incase someone does similar. I would still recommend bolting gearbox to engine and spacing off existing gearbox mounts for new engine mount positions, but knowing these sizes will allow people to cut existing engine mounts off right from the get go.

XXX sizes are indicative only of my build and may vary build to build XXX

If you are using 2H engine mounts ,it should end up in the correct spot. When I put the 1HZ into my FJ73 ,I fitted the engine mounts and brackets to the engine and lowered the engine till the brackets were in the same place as a HZJ75 and then welded them there. Obviously if you have the gearbox connected to the cross member ,it will take care of length.
Need measurements, go to a car yard or auction with a tape measure. To double check your heights ,run a string line across the fenders at a given spot , eg centre of oil filler cap , and take a measurement there.
Also ,even when everything is in its correct place, the centre of the fan will not be in the centre of the fan shroud ducting.
The only odd thing I came across is the gearstick was not in the same place as the original H55f ,but still ok.

Rosco knowing what you know now would you do a 1hz engine swap again. I'm going back and forth regarding this with my truck I found a troopy with a 1hz as a doner but unsure if it's worth the drama with engineers reports and all the work regarding. The HJ61 with a 12HT is a basic plug and play from my home work with less head aches plus it got lots of interchangeable spares.
