Wondering if anyone has toyed with the idea of 3D printing a new front door pocket to accept and relocate a larger speaker for the front. I would probably opt to sand and paint or wrap it in vinyl. Would anyone with a printer be willing to take this on?

on my LX it will not accept sprakers that stick out any further on the front in the factory location. They would smash into the interior dash molding. The after market speakers covers on my new front speakers were slightly larger than the factory covers and they leave an indent on the molding.

Rears should be no problem. Could probably go bigger diameter too.

Lots of non 3D print options to make your own spacer if you have some basic power tools.

great idea.
I'm on front end of making new 'pods' with these https://forum.ih8mud.com/attachments/door-jpg.589849/
as inspiration.
Fiberglass, bondo, etc

But 3dp would be cool. I'd be in to sharing some cost. But don't have the tech to DIY 3dp
