Hello All,

it's getting close to time to change the oil pan on my rig.

Can't seems to find any on the webs, and I think the part number I want is 12101-59146. seems like OEM is discontinued, is there an aftermarket alternative that has been tried or is available?

Thanks!

Andy

I got the cruiserparts.net oil pan and am having fitment issues. There is a very wide sump at the back and it interferes with my front driveshaft. My setup is in a 40, but the 3b/H55 are from a 1985 BJ70. Any advice/intel on this problem? I'm going to give cp.net a call this morning and try their tech support.

Never mind, found the answer on the cp.net site: "When using in 40, 60 or 70 series a lift kit is required."

The Dyna (light truck) and Coaster (bus) had a sump with wide 'wings' that need to be cut. Are you saying Cruiserparts sent you a non Landcruiser sump?

You can but newer B Series sumps (14B, 15B) which are the right shape but slightly different bolt pattern. Easier to modify than cutting down and welding the main body of the sump, which very often leaks.

I'd like to research more into the 14B/15B oil pan option. Yes, the one they sent has the wings as I don't believe that 3B Land Cruiser oil pans are available. Even with the wing version you have to modify the bolt pattern so I'd love to know more about the 14B/15B options for an oil pan.

Part number 12101-58230 is mentioned in the above linked post. Megacruiser 15B-FTE.

12101-58150 is for a Megacruiser 15B-FT, but I am not sure if these are still in production.

I doubt either are available through US dealers, so will need to be ordered from Japan (try Amayama).
