3b flywheel step +/- ? (1 Viewer)

I just dropped off my flywheel for resurfacing.

The local machinst does't show a 3b in his flywheel book.

He needs to know what the flywheel step +/- is for my 81 3b.

Having looked in several manuals, I have no data for the step. Is there even a step on it? I'll have to look at some of the flywheels I have in my shop tomorrow.

According to Wayne (post 14) the 2h flywheel has a step.


I can't seem to find any info on the 3b flywheel.

I dug through my 3b manual, and didn't find any info.

The 3b flywheel has no step.

the 13B-T has a 0.008 in. step flywheel.

bringing this thread back up to the top:
i talked to a couple of different Cruiserheads that i respect and they told me although there is no (and if there is, it is hard to find) data, they recommend a 20 thou lip to be machined in...

Flywheel step height and flywheel runout are two completely different measurements.

Still looking for an accurate B/3B Flywheel step height...
