hi guys,
i need some help with my edic motor. it likes to turn my motor on and off continually, thinking it was the relay behind the passenger kick panel, i had it changed but that didnt fix the problem. i then changed my edic motor for a second hand one (that fixed the problem for a couple of days but then it started again) and replaced my low oil pressure cut off switch. any ideas? ive herd of people running a similar system as the 13B-T as they don't run an edic motor and have a butterfly in the carby run of a vacume hose..is it worth me trying to install a different system or should i keep trying to solve the problem?

Check your alternator if the brushes are low, this can cause problems with the "I'm running" signal that comes from te voltage regulator that tells the EDIC that the engine is running and to stay in one position.

Also check the ground around the block area to the frame and frame to battery, and also the ground situation at the plug at the EDIC and the EDIC mounting post - between the EDIC and its mount, and between the block and the mount.

Hope this helps.

thanx heaps john,

the only thing i cant get my head around is that the edic starts playing up only if my lights are turned on or if i turn on my heater. im thinking maybe i have a mix up in my wiring somewhere or could that be that the alternator brushes are low?
