It doesnt look that bad.. not great by any means, but if its not using a lot of oil I wouldn't be too fussed, the engine will have plenty of life left in it.

Here's a 2H with very bad blowby for comparison..

The oil filler cap 'tea kettle test' seems to work better on straight six motors compared to four cylinder motors. There are stronger pressure pulses on a four cylinder which make it dance more even if it doesn't have much blow by. Straight six motor crank pressure seems to be much smoother.

I find a better indicator is looking at the PCV hose end while the motor is running. Put your hand over the end and feel how much flow is coming out. On a motor with serious blow-by it'll be a constant stream of oil vapor/smoke. This seems to work better as it averages out the pressure pulses to just a constant stream of pressure.

As the 3B doesn't have a PCV valve, just check the open crankcase vent line (steel tube) coming off the valve pushrod cover, on the right hand side of the engine, below the exhaust manifold. (I've put a length of hose on the end to keep vented oil from dripping on the front driveshaft)

My 3B has the same bow by on the cap….. however I check the steel tube, and there is not much pressure coming out…. How much should be coming out?
