Seems that several of the heater hoses for some of our trucks are NLA (for instance heater hoses 8724590K28 and 8724590K29).
I have not found a substitution or a hose that could be cut to fit and was wondering if anyone had come across any and/or made a list of what they found before I dive into what could be a project.

I have an 1988 BJ73 RHD JDM 3B with a rear heater so it looks like there are three or four NLA hoses.

I did find that Gates has a really good catalog (Molded Coolant Hose Identification Guide) with all the sizing and even shapes of their products. The there is a download link nd other Gates products for that >HERE< or click >HERE< and the direct pdf download should work. Maybe someone will find that useful. I did not realize they had a catalog like that.

If you find some options post them up. I looked a while back and didn't have much luck, but I think I might just have to pull them and go looking in person at a Napa or something to see if there are any close matches.

Anyone checked in with Georg @Valleyhybrids ? I think Terrain Tamer has kits for the BJ75 that works for any 3B powered 7x
Good lead Joe. TT does not list one for the B series on their site if they do have one. I have not checked with @orangefj45 about it (nor have I checked with Kurt who has a BJ7X.

If is is helpful to anyone, here is the TT link for available heater hose kits:
4WD Heater Hose Kits: Rated #1 [2023] Australia - Terrain Tamer - https://www.terraintamer.com/4wd-products/cooling/heater-hose-kits

And available coolant hose kits (which does list B series vehicles)

Check out the attached pic, these are the hoses that TT offers for the BJ73/75

Helpful tech Georg. Thanks for chiming in. I know the straight hose is still available (and any generic 5/8 would likely work) but I believe there maybe two or even five more.
No rear heater has just 4 hoses and two are straight. The other two are still listed at Partsouq but NLA. Heater Inlet A (87245A) part number 8724590K04 and Heater Inlet E (87245E) Part number 872451B060. A Google of the part number reveals nothing.

If you are running a rear heater it gets more complicated and there are five additional prebent hoses:

It appears 87246 A and B are apparently replaced with straight hose maybe. 87256E and 87255B seem to be NLA.

I will start looking through the Gates hoses and see if I can find close replacements for the 6 prebent ones and post up if I succeed.

best way is to take your old hose to the auto parts store and match up the bends with existing hose, you will have to cut some excess off but who cares.
lots of the time you can get 2 different replacements out of one preformed piece for some other application.
straight hose comes on a roll..... so kinda a moot discussion, cut to length
as for rear heater lines its usually best to replace from the engine connection right to the heat unit with hose on a roll....
bobs yo' momma's brotha

Thanks for speaking up guys. I have bought many yards of 5/8 hose and understand finding something with similar bends that can be cut to fit.

The point of this thread is: if you did that did you happen to write down what you bought that worked? If the stuff is actually NLA without a direct replacement, what brand and model did you find with similar bends that worked so the rest of us do not have to do the scavenger hunt and we can memorialize it here?
