Don’t forget that trail was meant to be done downhill and we were going uphill! :D

Glad to see you're slumming in the 80's section Ale. :D Swiftie said to say hi. We missed you this weekend. Had Mike Stevens, Chuck from OK4WD, JH, Mark, Nick Jennings and myself out. No one had on flip flops :D

Here's Kumar on 37" Krawler :D Had to shrink the pic quite a bit to fit it here!

I hate this thread. I really want to run 36" tsl's and I don't have the $ right now.

Junk, the fairlead turned out okay. Looks sorta cool. Not really cool though. :flipoff2:

LOL, that's ok. Just finished a new one today that has some engraving that some folks may enjoy. :flipoff2: I'm definitely diggin the synth though.

The way and 80 looks on 36-37 tires is perfect. Seems an 80 just does 36s right.

That 80 on 37 krawlers is awesome, looks to nice to be on krawlers.
Anyone know what lift is on that ?

So J-springs / 20mm spacers / 36-37 tires is it.

I always read the 80’s section to make sure to keep myself up to date! Just don’t have much time for posting.
I really miss wheeling with you guys up north; there is no wheeling at all down here unless you have 44” boggers and a really light rig.

Say hi to everyone for me when you get a chance.

Off camber sucks though lol. This shot was with Lowtideride riding shotgun. Notice the 3 winchlines that don't tell the whole story :D  Even with the 3 winch lines attached, only thing that kept us from going over was the beadlock keeping the ds rear tire on as that one tire had all the weight of the truck trying to pull it off lol.

Pic doesn't look off-camber, but it's after we got the truck back closer to where it should be ... I wish shots like this came out better to tell the story.

Pretty level ground from where I'm sittin ... bet you were glad you didn't have Arcteryx undies on eh ? :flipoff2:

TY

Yup, its what you don't see is what caused the offcamber. Guess they don't have that at 7-11 (yeah, I'm beating on your starbuckos).

Ale. Dude, everyone up here misses you and uh, we uh, were kind of wondering if you'd provide the phone number for that chick you brough to CMCC 2 years ago. :flipoff2: LOL. Hang in there dude. See you at Tellico.

Junk - you think 80s as tall as yours are tippy?

Generally no. In this case, we were climbing over about a 3' ledge (normally no big deal), but on the ds the ledge dropped off and as you climb, slightly off-camber, all the weight shifted to the ds rear tire and if the bead pulled off then we would have spilled my diet cokes. I don't think they are tippy, but you need to keep center of gravity in mind when doing things like adding roofracks etc. Every time out I learn more about my truck, but all in all, the 80 is very stable.

>> So the general opinion is ... <<

Skim,
I don't agree that's all you need to do for 35+ tyres. You need to regear and correct your speedo and odometer. You need caster correction. You need panhards. You need swaybar drops and longer brake lines. You need to read the write up on 35's on Christo's web site.

Dont have it, but I could send you the phone number of a couple of models that I am friends with here in Miami then you just have to fly them up there! I love this city :D

Ale, only if you send them up in your truck. Load the 15K and will teach the girls how to mount it for you :flipoff2:

warning thread hijack!!
Junk,
so what are you using for the fairlead now??
just curious as I have been working with uhmw quit a bit lately and I thought that is what you had.
Dave

Phaedrus,
Still using UHMW, but just some minor design changes. I'll send you pic when I get a chance as I'd be curious to receive any input you may have.
