Mudders,

Hoping to fit 35's to my 100.

Read through a few posts/arguments about scrubbing/rubbing. I'm after 0 rubbing.
I realise suspension lift plans no part in fitting larger tyres unless you limit the bumpstops. I'm quite happy to do this in the rear (50mm or less) but will most likely be done due to shock length. In the front I'd like to keep the std bumpstops if possible.

Are 1" Bodylift Kits still available? Is 1" enough to fit 315/70r17's? (35x12.5r17)

Recommended rim with is more than 8" (common steel rims easily available in 17x8 (+30 and +40 offset) Same as running 3/4" or 1 1/4" wheel spacers on +60 8" wide factory rims.

But thinking a 9" wide rim would be better. Options:
1. Custom steel wheel. Anyone know who to ring in aust for this service? 17x9 +30 would be perfect.
2.Maybe a +40 offset with a diy beadlock kit welded on. This would be close to a 9" wide rim with +30 offset.

Let us know what you have and what does/doesn't work.

This will tell you everything I did to mount 35" tires on my rig with NO bump stops or wheel spacers needed.
The only thing I did not mention was that you will need to hammer down the pinch weld on the front fenders. You'll see what I mean when you mount everything and you get a little rubbing. And the wheels I used. I've attached come pics of the wheels.

I would go with the Method Wheels or Rock Warrior wheels. Stay at 8 to 8.5 width.

Run a narrow tire as possible....look at each tires specs. Some run wide and others narrow.

To safe body work and steering rack narrower is your friend.

Also look at running an OE wheel. 285.75.18 will get you there also work OE wheel.

315.75.16 KM2 will get you there also.....with the 16

Cheers r2m. Prefer to stay with a steel rim if possible. How much clearance do you have between the tyre and the ifs knuckle(with 35's)?

I have run diamond racing steel wheel on too many cars to count. Amazing product!

Built to order, extremely light for a steel wheel. Great quality and pricing! Never seen them on an off road application, but for steel wheels they can't be beat.

How much to have you machine one of those case lever extensions for me?

Sorry, I never bothered to measure. I know I have never rubbed at all since I've added the 1.75" body lift I made and that's lock-to-lock compressed.

Sorry mate, that was just a one off. I got the material from the scrap box from a company I used to work for and spun it off on my home lath.
I haven't the time to make to make them. :(
I don't even have the time to do the things I'd really like to do to my rig as it is.

im also looking into 17x9 with zero offset and some inches lifted. just so the tires come out some past my flares. im not sure how a 9 in wide wheel will do under there stock. it might need to be lifted. funny how the earlier generations came close 0 offset stock. deep 5 spoke wheels and everyone kept those wheels on there.

like these just not chrome.
