I hadn't seen anyone try the 12.50's so I did and just an FYI they fit with no rubbing when used with the stock steelies.

go hit a bump and turn the wheel..

I have and so far I haven't rubbed anywhere. I even had the tires at full stuff turning in either direction and no problems.

But hey you sound like maybe you have more experience have you tried the 12.50's and had prblems?

no lift. 33x12.50R15 fit on mine.

here is a pic if it works

That's great, because that means I could fit 33x10.50 no problem without the cost of NEEDING that new lift! Did you fit any spacers on these at all?

no spacers. fronts hardly hang out at all. rears not at all. pm me if you want more pics. these where what i had on my fj40. i have new toyo mt and new wheels but the toyos are super heavy and not sure if i want to put them on the 62

so by basic math can one assume 35s will surely fit on aftermarket rims with a 2.5 ome lift?

My FJ-62 with 33x12.50s and OME heavies would rub a little in the rear so not sure how you are doing that. Also, not sure it is so safe to put 12.50s on a stock width rim. Be carefull. I felt that I needed more lift to run 35x12.50s.

Only if you plan on cutting the tar out of your fenders.

I am running a OME 2.5" lift in teh front of my 60. With 35" BFG's, I rum when turning and articulating. And I have no fender lips left..

I'm running Spector 3 1/2 in springs with a shackle reversal (another 1 1/2 in. of lift) and I rub when articulated and turning. Not quite sure how you arn't???

My 33s rub in the rear at full articulation, in the front at full articulation or with abit of turn on the front of the wheel arch with slight twist

You might need to trim the fenders a little. But I don't think clearance should be an issue. You might PM FrontRange4x4 (Chris) I know he runs 35s on his 60, but I don't know how much trimming he did to accomplish that.

its all in what and were you drive as well as what wheel there mounted on.. I make 33 1250 on 10's rub with 4 in lift .... but I drive kinda hard,Even for street driving on stock wheels the tire wont last very long since the stock wheels are only 6 in wide and the need at least a 8 to ware right... then they rub the fender :meh:

2.5" OME w/ 12.5x33s and it will rub at full articulation. I don't see how it won't rub w/o a lift.

Second, I'm not sure how wise it is running a 12.5 on a 6 inch rim. Some tire stores won't even mount that combo. You may want to get some 8 inch rims. As always, JMHO.

I don't see how the 33*12.50*15 tires will not scrub with stock setup. that's what I have for my mud tires with a lift. Except I'm running 8 inch wide wheels.

Tire size is never going fully compensate for a lift if you are looking for functionality

I run 33x12.5's and most daily driving is fine, if i take a turn onto a freeway on ramp to fast the rear rub on the inside. You might not hear it but look at the polish marks on the inside of the wheel well. But when wheeling if you are at full turn and hit a bump the front will hit the fender, and becareful cause it will cut your tread. This has been my experience anyways and I actually have a little bit of lift cause the PO put on extended shackles

Nice looking rig:cheers:

No trouble and no rubbing, on sagged out suspension and 33.12.5 on a 7" rim. Remember that the backspacing on the rim will determine, to some extent your rubbing issues.

I would suggest that those of you rubbing on the inner wheel well wall in the rear need to look at your rim offsets or use spacers.

My fj60 with 33x10.5x15s will rub if I hit a bump and have the wheel turned. I've got a 3/4" wheel spacer on these as well.

I'm running an OME suspension.

FYI!
