How are they on wet asphalt? The intergral sipes gotta help.

Nice tires! I might have to sell the A/T's since I am not daily driving my rig any longer and pick up some!

Anyone else have anything to report on the preformance of these?

I cant comment how they are on an FJ, but i have the same size but for a 17" wheel on my DD frontier nismo. They are spectacular on the road, even in the rain, sleet, snow, and ice. I would venture that they are even better than the BFG AT/ko in the ice. I have yet to find a surface that these tires dont stick to like glue. The issue is they are fairly heavy for their size, about 10lbs heavier than a similarly sized MT from almost any other manufacturer...And they last pretty good for a MT. I have 45k miles on mine and still have a little tread left, and i drive pretty fast (and its on a truck that is heavier than a FJ)

I had those on my Tacoma, and it was horrible on wet asphalt. But they where great in the mud!

I've talked about these tires on another thread already. The tires have excellent grip for an extreme mud terrain. On wet pavement the tires work wonders because of the extra siping. My friend has had a set on his range rover for 2 years and the performance is still excellent. He has them in the 35-12.5-15 size. As I mentioned here in Lebanon, 70% of our four wheeling is snow wheeling, and the truxus mt is ranked as one of the best off road snow tires available.

So I am thinking very highly about running the 33x12.50 Trxus on my FZJ80. Any body else have experience with these? Especially on an 80? Sounds like most people have liked them. Will they last a few years on a heavy vehicle? My 80 is used for a part time daily driver to carry the fam around and part time moab wheeler. Utah weather, so I am wondering about wet and snowy roads too. Pictures, especially on 80s are great also!

YES!

P.S. Crap this is the 40 section. I guess I will repost this in the 80 section.

I had my 1250x33 Goodyear MTRs sipped, which stopped them from slipping on wet pavement.

I think it's a good idea to sip large tires, because of the reduced weight load per square inch of contact surface. You do not get more traction with a wider footprint on hard surfaces because of this.
