Hey all,

I recently purchased Ruzickajr’s FZJ80 from this forum. I’m looking to downsize the tires from 35’s to 33’s and maybe even 31’s. The AT2’s still have probably another 40,000 miles on them. If anyone in the tri-state area is interested in swapping or trading their 33’s, please shoot me a PM! I’ll get pics up tomorrow.

@Rd929 That wheel well is gonna look empty with 33's, and very awkward with 31's (the OEM stock size). Your sig line doesn't list your vehicle and specs...that would be nice info for us to have so we can offer suggestions about downsizing based on the method that was used to lift it. It might be as easy as removing trim spacers from the springs (if it has them) to keep it from looking like tiny tires on a big lift if you find the look with smaller tires to be odd.

Of course, we'll also be happy to talk you into 37's!

You guys are hilarious with the upsizing to 37's hahahaha
Right now it's a 2.5" OME springs all around. It has OME shocks and heavy springs and I'm in the middle of finding out how to soften the hell out of this ride since it was build to carry a ton of weight for overlanding trips for a family of four. So I'm going down to a 2" lift which on 33's shouldn't look bad at all, judging on the pictures I have seen. It doesn't have any spacers.

Ahh. Heavy springs like a heavy load.

You know what’ll tame it??? Winch up front and a swingout rear bumper to hold your 37” spare tire.

But seriously, this is the right place to get advice for whatever you want your truck to become. There’s probably nothing that hasn’t already been done and documented here. Even dropping to 31’s when it’s obvious that 40’s are required.

I already have a TrailGear 64lb bumper and a 110lb winch, and a giant swing out bumper holding the 35 and 3 cans hahahah. I’m not gonna lie these 35’s are growing on me. I just throw in some softer springs so it doesn’t rattle the teeth out of my skull that might be enough
