Sorry if this has been beat to death or is in another thread..... but i saw some details on the next gen land cruiser....

v6 or hybrid motor
Interior was like a minivan
Possibly not coming in LHD (meaning not to the US)

I’ve considered selling my 2019, but I think I’ll hold for now. Demand may stay strong for 200 series trucks?

I got myself in a nice little puddle of mud for that. So much I can’t comment until Toyota does a press release: no comment

We understand, and appreciate your taking one for the team.

If anything it shows the reach of this place..

I've been a "first responder" on all new versions of existing models a few times....my experience is I need to
hold back on purchasing if possible. Overall reliability was rarely the problem - interior and exterior
body panel fitments + infotainment glitches.

I don't have any real desire to drop almost 90k on a new LC300, so IF they replace it in the US it needs to be in the 50-60k range.

I just dont see that happening because that is 4Runner TRD territory.

Given we have all seen the semi-official reports of the LC demise.

Now the rumors are going to start for the LX 570's demise. It's follow-up is reputed to be the LQ in 2022.

See the Car & Driver report

The LQ is a crossover and not a full size SUV, the LQ may fill the LX spot but by the looks of that pic it won’t fill the full size niche the LX currently fills. I do think the days of a legit 4x4 trucks and SUV’s are numbered and will be replaced by electric with a motor driving each wheel. The foreign makes will drop first while the American manufacturers continue to build for the domestic needs.

don’t get me wrong, I’d still grab my groceries in that LQ, though.

If that's the future direction then I hope they do some serious remodeling of the Sequoia. I need an SUV that will tow at least 8k lbs and not fall apart after 500 miles of washboard gravel. Otherwise there will be a Nissan Armada (Patrol) in my future (gosh, I never thought I would say that...).

That being said, my wife would buy an LQ in a heartbeat when her BMW gets boring. Although she has consistently had Lexus RX hybrids since they first came out, she just couldn't stomach the current look and went for an X5M instead.

Armada isnt a very good vehicle for that either. I work at a dealer group that includes nissan and they squeaks and rattles just riding around town. Our owner demo'd one and was back in a trailhawk grand cherokee in no time.

LX is staying as a LX600....

It will be bigger that current model and still on truck chassis. That is about as much data that has been given. It will be out later this year.

LQ will be off the LC/LS chassis....will be in Range Rover/Bentley/Roll type class...more car like SUV.
