Anyone have a diagram or pictures of intake manifold or associated components post them here along with history, testing & specs?
Also: Differences in design over the model years, like method to control heat See Parts # help3

Anyone know what this small capped tube is for? I've seen a post state it pass directly through to inside of manifold, does it?

Thanks Beno that is great addition to thread.

I've been looking for more detail on part #17102 MANIFOLD SUB-ASSY, INTAKE, UPR. Would like too see break down of all parts along with a history & function of each tube, canal and nut?

No luck so far:hhmm:

Interesting part #17102-50041 number shows good for pre Aug 2002, but not in detail look: was their a change?

You won't receive any of that information from Toyota unfortunately.

Regarding part change? No idea. Maybe some components built onto the intake manifold assy were changed?

Thermostat, manifold is connected to Throttle body.
Mud info, a change was made in how the manifold thermostat function staring in 2001. From post #3
"The thermostat on the throttle body has been changed from the previous coolant-temperature sensing type to a wall-temperature sensing type. The former directly senses the temperature of the coolant as the coolant passes through the thermostat, and the latter senses the temperature of the throttle body housing."

I'm glad I am not the only one with this capped off. I was afraid I was the victim of a shade tree mechanic. What did the hose connect to on the earlier trucks? I also have what looks like an unterminated connector on the front of the passenger side cylinder head I hope it also part of an old system. Is it the temperature sensor? It is the path of coolant as far as I can tell.

Hey 2001LC.

Can you send the second image and fourth image from this post again? They are the same image. I am trying to source the PVC hose attached to the intake air connector. Found mine dry rotted and dangling the yesterday when changing spark plugs. also went with Denso 4702 plugs off your rec so thanks for that as well lol. I cannot seem to make this image larger. The image stays small and gets too distorted when I zoom in on the saved image.

What I can do for you, is give you the info/tools to find all PNs. You'll never need to ask for P/Ns again!;)

Using your VIN #, at www.partsouq.com This will take you to, parts diagrams for your vehicle.
Note: Not all years of 100 series are the same. So we use VIN # to get correct parts.

Or call Toyota/Lexus Dealerships parts department, which use the same diagrams.

Thank you so much 2001LC. I have spent so much time scouring or trying to talk to toyota/lexus part reps.
I am going to owe you many beers by the time I have this truck 100%!
