I have a 1992 Prado with the Turbo Powered 2LTE. Got the head Replaced. Used the Evans waterless coolant. The truck seems to have absolutely Zero ability to cool itself. Goes Very quickly to red high temp line and then stays there. The transmission has overheated and dripping transmission fluid a couple of times. Even coasting down hill the temp remains high. Is it possible that the thermostat is reversed? OR that the Original head was never replaced? (Turn's out the Mechanic has a drug habit). All thoughts and suggestions appreciated!

i don't think the thermostat could be installed backwords but it could be bad. it's pretty easy to take a look under the hood and see if the head is new. how hot is the radiator itself? The evens coolant needs a very through flush before it can be used, was that performed? any good shop should be helping you with the problem.
