2lte turbo problem...

So im starting to look at my lj78 as a poor investment, I know I have maintenance costs building up (just fluid changes, alignment, pressure testing rad etc.) and to me, this is something i need to save for but now i have oil leaking out of the hose coming into the turbo (main pipe going over engine) and when i looked closer its leaking out of the front of the turbo and out of a smaller hose in front and underneath the main pipe (main pipe says EFI DIESEL TURBO). Please forgive my lack of mechanical knowledge but to those who would know what does this mean? Any advice on whats involved to fix it, costs, and consequences of not fixing it would be appreciated, will post pictures soon.

These diesels have a breather line from the rocker cover for the oil fumes inside the engine.
They feed into the intake of the turbo...
Overtime they get oily....and the mist can form a weep....
Any loose joints will form this weep....
Unless you are using / burning oil I would give it all a good clean and run it to eliminate any leaks...

I had the same thing with mine. I actually ended up taking the turbo apart and did a o-ring replacement with a kit. I got it all done, took it out for a while, and what do you know, it came back. So, I bought a new turbo, put it in (the day before my wedding, wifey not very happy about that) and drove around for a while. And, after a few hundred kilometers, what do you know, it came back, though not as much. So, after reading for a long time about the turbo in the 2LTE, I found out, as he stated in the post above, they just leak a bit of oil for those reasons. So, so long as you're not burning oil up, it's normal (apparently). However, if you're hemmorhaging oil, that's a different thing.
