2L TE Diesel engine (1 Viewer)

Does anyone have a source for information ( production dates, spec's, HP size etc.) on the Toyota 2L TE diesel and matching 5 Speed transmission ?

All I know at this point is that they were used in the Japanese Hi-Lux pick up trucks.

What about a source for spare parts?

I am trying to figure out if it would work in a Landcruiser. It may be too small for the pig.

I know that engine was used in the 7x series, under the LJ (L stands for light duty cruiser)
I have a BJ7x and it sports bigger axle, and the japanese BJ7x all used 3.4 or higher turboed engine instead of the weaker 2l-te.
I know that some pick-up here in Canada came with a 2lt engine, hard to find tho.
