While I'm building the td5-t3 adapter obviously It will need to be strong but will It still need extra support to hold everything regarding turbo exhaust system, Intake filters pipe + The engine shaking. I'm guessing I will have to mount very strong supports from the engine block to the turbo housing both sides.
It wont need much if you use 4mm for the adapter.....it will be as strong as. Actually Dougal on here esuggested not to go overboard on bracing and to allow for thermal expansion/movment, You dont want the bracing so rigid the turbo cant move when its expanding, just a bit of flat bar like suggested might be the go

Thanks Gareth
There's so much involved in fitting a turbo but its a good leaning curve for me as never been into compressing atmosphere in any engine. My last cruiser had a 1hdt 4.2 engine and it was a rocket in the 3 ton Sahara but all I done was change the oil every 5 k over 15 years owning her.

youve got that right, ive had a fair bit to do with turbocharging petrol engines, 2 ford 4.1 crossflows, and ford barra DOHC, but this is my first diesel boost experience lol. mine is close to be bolting on, but i need to purchase exhaust pipe bends and intercooler....im doing the old J-pipe adapter to the stock manifold

I finally got my manifold flanges after they sent the wrong one from the US. They let me keep the t? and got the TDO5 flange in the mail later in the week. I'm guessing in the last pick the flange is a T4 so if anyone in OZ needs one let me know and I will put a tape on it and send it out.
