2H turbo manifold and other parts needed

I just got my 2H/H55F combo from Dave, and I am exicted about the project... want to figure out a turbo setup for it. Its going into an FJ55, and will be turbo'ed and intercooled.

I need a turbo setup, or at least an exhaust manifold for a turbo setup for it.

Anyone out there have one? or know of a source for one that will accomodate a garrett turbo?

you could make your own

then go custom garrett turbo. built for that engine. a good turbo shop can think one up.

there are many kits out there too, try axt, or safari, maybe denco from Radd.

how much money and time you have to do this ( turbo setup ) .. you can buy a " bolt on " turbo kit ( not cheap ) or you can built it by yourself .. ( with a lots of free time )

I will get ahold of Darrel Noorda and chat with him about his different setups, he ran a Garret on his 2H before switching the manifold to the OEM turbo setup... not sure where all his home-brew stuff went...

Ooooh, very nice.

You may well know already the 2H is prolly not the most favourite to turbo engine, I thinnk the consenese is lower boost.

Cheap old trick was to weld a bung into the exhasut and then fab up the mounting position. Hole saw a hole into the middle of the manifold and either use a piece of black iron pipe or fab up the mount out of flat stock.

Or do as Bruce Lowen is doing and completely fab up header slash turbo manifold.

As for which turbo on a 2H, never really heard of any trial and error with those engines other than on Andres site.
