2H throwout bearing

I am putting in a new clutch. I got a kit and everyrhing is going together fine until I get to the throwout bearing. The old one is 1.00 inches thick and the new one is .80 inches thick. My instincts tell me not to use the new one. Has anybody come across this?

i never measured mine but I don't know that .2" will make too much difference. If you are worried about play, the linkage might be adjusted to make up for it (?).....i dunno

PS: hows the swap coming?

i have not come across this in person but i highly doubt that will be a show stopper...
