Hey guys,

I am sure allot of you know me, I am in the middle of finishing my rebuild and I have my 2h apart. I took off the oil cooler plate that has the oil filter housing on it as well. I went to take a bolt off and broke the head off. Turns out this was part of the oil pressure relief valve. I want to replace the spring/valve.

Does anyone know of a source to buy this? You can see in the picture there is a smaller bolt that that compresses a spring, which has a hollowed out head bolt that goes into the side of the oil filter housing. You can see in my picture there is a head of a second hollowed out bolt, which I believe to be the relief valve to be broke.

Thanks!

P.S I hear about people lengthening these and cutting off one coil on the spring, to adjust the oil pressure or to mate the spring flat against he surface of the housing. I am not sure what this is all about either, if someone could help me if they know.

If you check on eBay there is an extended (oversize in length) oil pressure relief valve available as the original when worn jams because its a little short, this a known fix for the 2H. Just buying a new one the same length does not fix the problem as the shaft where this slides into is worn.

I've been checking ebay in oz for weeks with no luck, any chance someone has a vendors web site?
I cant find a listing anywhere online...
cheers
