Can any adjustments be made so as to increase the oil pressure on a 2H Diesel engine. Or what is a source for a rebuilt oil pressure pump for the 2H

Or install a proper oil pressure gauge and see that it might be your stock gauge that's reading low...

ditto this it's a true valid comment .. and first step.

Hey,
The big question is: Why is the oil pressure low, if in fact, it is truly low? If your oil pressure is truly low, it would most likely indicate main/rod bearing wear that is out of spec. Oli pumps are very reliable, and usually last the life of the engine. Check your oil pressure with a known reliable gauge, then determine from there what needs to be done.

P.S. The oil pressure senders are fairly short lived, and are usually suspect.

what should the optimal oil pressure be anyway? just started noticing that mine seems a little high for the first 5-10 minutes of driving, and then lowers and evens out after the engine is at a smooth (relative for a diesel!) idle...

What does a little high mean in P.S.I ? This has been posted many times along with the cause for high oil pressure in the 2H. My 2H oil pressure got a little high at around 140 plus psi also  at one stage the Toyota gauge only showed near the three quarter mark:rolleyes::mad:.That was high enough to bend and split the filter. Try searching and then supply some details if you need advise. As previously stated the oil pressure senders are not great along with the crap gauge. Same goes for the water temperature units that are not capable of showing temperature spikes and usually show the motor is hot well after it has happened.
