Ok, I did a bone head:bang: move took my carb all apart and placed all the pieces in a small box . when I picked it up the bottom fell apart and you guessed it parts every where :crybaby: I was able to find all the parts but 1 piece. One of the small rubber "O" ring that goes on top of the venturi . Does anyone have the Part# for the "O" Ring.

I think it says 21659-38110. Still available but MSRP is $22! ouch!

Not kidding. You might think about looking around some more for the one you lost. Or check with one of the guys that rebuilds carbs professionally (Jim C, Mark A). They may know about a substitute for this part.

substitution for "O" RING

Toyota #2165938110 "O" ring any know of a substitution for it, this little "O" ring sits on top of the venturi and seals to the top of the carb. Any help would be appreciated.

If I'm not mistaken this is an o-ring that has a square cross section--like if you cut off a short piece of tubing. Do you have any measurements? Mcmaster Carr sells some square cross section o-rings. Or you could maybe just get a piece of silicone or rubber tubing and cut your own?

You can make one by cutting a piece of small tubing as mentioned.... if not and you want oem pm me and I'll send ya one n/c, I have several.......

It is a special O-ring, not something from ace hardware. :frown:
There are two in the carb that are re-usable, plus two in the carb kit, so you should have four to pick from. Minus one, means there's still three somewhere. Use one of the old ones if necessary.

Thanks, I went to the local parts store bought a Hy-Grade kit No o rings in it. So it must be a dealer rebuild kit includes them. S#@T

Well down to the dealer to pay $20. and get ripped off for a .50 cent o ring. But it's my fault should have been more careful.

I know that Jim is the man, but I don't think I've ever gotten these o-rings in any of my rebuild kits--I've gotten the Keyster kit, plus kits from Toyota (Cruiser Dan). I've still got a couple of partial kits, so I'll check when I get home.

So, Jim, where do you get your kits from? Thanks.

The hy-grade kit is the only one that doesn't have the darn o-rings.

The generic kits from NAPA or advance have the o-rings, IME.

The Toyo kit has the o-rings, but list price is $75. The Keyster kits are not for USA carbs, so do not include the o-rings. They also have the wrong jets, but at least they include jets.

Thanks Jim I'll get another kit from advance.

Edit: I ordered a JP Sorensen kit from Advance $20. Get it tomorrow morning Hopfully they have the O rings.

Checked with NAPA there kit does not have the O rings.
