Won't fit with stock height today I bought some 285 70 17 because after doing all kinds of research on several websites including here I came to the conclusion that's the biggest you can go without a lift kit or severe rubbing... turns out I was wrong the front bumper on the front side rubs on the back side of the tire the inner Fender rubs .... am I able to crank on the torsion bars a little bit to get some more clearance? I don't want to prank on them if that's going to mess up the stuff on the front Driveline

I bought the Landcruiser and it has the TRD forged Rock Warrior rims and the previous owner I guess installed 1.25" wheel spacer because the hubs on the wheels are a little bit too small ... I'm going to see if I can find somebody who can maybe open up the bore on the wheels big enough to fit

Don't mess with those wheels by opening up the bore since they command a good amount of $$$. If you ever sell the LC pull the rock warriors and sell them separately.

My 1999 Toyota Land Cruiser was purchased with some TRD forged Rock Warrior rims and the previous owner put a 1.25" wheel spacer behind the rims and I've never been a fan of wheel spacers but he told me the rims would not fit over the hubs and that you had to run the wheel spacers with those Wheels. From looking at things online it looks like the bore on the Wheel and the Hub are the same size 110mm. so it should be able to bolt on but can somebody confirm?

I want to get rid of these wheel spacers

Today I purchase some 285 70 17 tires and when I turn the wheel back and forth they rub a little bit and I'm thinking it's because of the wheel spacers.

You just need a hammer, a sawzall and a heat gun and you can get rid of that rubbing pretty easy.

Also I think a 10mm spacer would be enough to clear the hub according to most threads:

This is the first time I’m seeing this. Everything I’ve read on here has said 285/70-17 will fit no problem even with the spacer

It's too much spacer. Stock wheel offset is +60, RW's are +50. With 1.25" (32mm) spacers his offset is effectively +18. That's a huge increase from stock. Swap those for 1/4" (enough to clear the hub) and it will be fine.

As stated above, it's not the tire, it's the effective offset, the combination of wheel offset +the spacer.

A 285/75R16 fits on factory wheels, with the factory offset, and it's a hair taller than the 285/70R17:

You could do 285 75 16 no problem if you want to go to a smaller wheel. Hard to find 16" wheels though.

I’m running BFG KO2s 285 70 17” on rock warriors with a one inch spacer. Only a few slight rub on the front on exiting the driveway. Not even worth getting the heat gun out. No lift/stock suspension.

Interesting. I’ve got 255/75r17 on rws with a 1.25 and have been waiting to pick up 285/75r17s

I have a 2inch lift though if that changes anything
