Nice truck. The moulding in the body seam would turn me off. That just screams “future rust” to me.
 
That's how the beds on the 1st gens were made. 🤷‍♂️ I'd be more concerned about the "collector grade" description.
 
Yes. I’m around 2.5 hours* north right at the border.





* Depending on how badly one gets butt-raped by Seattle traffic... I’d probably almost take the ferry from Whidby over to Port Townsend and the go down the 101. Slower, but less potential for chaos.

I owned a ‘81 and a ‘82 way back in the mid ‘80s. Neither one had molding there. None of my friends trucks did either, and I had a LOT of friends with these trucks in the mid to late ‘80s. Maybe it was a local thing? Like the port installed roof racks?

I've had three 83's over the years, one had the original paint on the cab, but not the original bed...none of them had the mouldings. I wonder if it was part of the SR5 trim options? That yellow truck would look sweet with the grey hockey stripe decals above the fenders and on the hood, i think it would really pop with that color.
