I have spend over an hour reading post and see conflicting comments so opening another tire thread specific to the tire size I am interested in (275/60r20).

I have 16LC with 20" LX570 (13-15) wheels. Original 18 wheel offset was 56mm. I believe the LX wheels have 45mm. I like the 20" look, but want go up in sidewall. As well I want to keep everything stock without removing mudflaps, etc. Definitely 285-275/55r20 will fit based on feedback but tire I am interested in (Conti TerrainContact) is not available in that size.

I am considering 275/60r20 which is 33" high. Should I expect any rubbing on 16LC without modification?

Thanks!

Luke

I have 275/60r20 Michelin Defenders the lightest, least expensive size for the 20's. No rubbing and they are a HUGE upgrade over OEM tires, and about the best non-LT tire made in that size.

Defenders are on my list as well. I am thinking about more rugged look and those conti provide the look and are great on the road. Highly reviewed as Defenders. Rubbing is my concern. Good to hear that you have no problems with Defenders as may go that route as well.

Will go with those defenders in 275/60r20 too. 99% of the time on the road Discount tire online has the 10% off through Sept 4th. On 4th as well Michelin will have $70 coupon. So looks like Sept 4th will be the day to buy.

All done. Unbelievable what the difference in LC looks running on 20" wheels with 33" tires. Now it looks proportional. Don't get why Toyota/Lexus put smaller tires either on the 18 or 20 inch wheel.

33" tires - NOT 30" tires, right?
