Wanted 24v timer pre heater

I am in the process of converting my 24v bj42 1982 glow plug system into a Wilson switch version. I do however prefer the old automatic timer-preheater. Has anyone an old 24v 28521-57010 that I could use to cannibalise and repair my mechanically compromised version over the long winter months?

As the numbers are different I don't think I could risk it. We would only know by opening it up and comparing but let's not do that. Thanks a million for your input.
