After letting yet another summer/fall go by without fixing my heater core, I picked up a 17000 BTU heater that you mount external and plumb the coolant
lines in and hook power to your battery. I have a HJ61 with the rear heater under the console. what im wondering, should i plumb in the coolant lines from the dash heater
or should i tear out the rear heater, use those hoses, and mount the heater under the console? Thanks for the help

I think you should fix it properly.
It is a HJ61, it deserves to not be subjected to ghetto engineering.
Used heater cores are available, or just repair the leaking one that you have.

dmjay,
Thanks for reply, and I agree, I was thinking of a temporary heat fix, no hole drilling or mods, and then do it rite when I have time an the rite space to do it in.
