22RE - My compression test numbers

Just did a compression test on my 94 4x4 Pickup - 22RE w/ 211k miles.

Cylinder 1 - 150 psi
Cylinder 2 - 149 psi
Cylinder 3 - 159 psi
Cylinder 4 - 149 psi

Engine has been running well other than the o2 sensor that I'm replacing.

How do these numbers look?

Perfect. Run it! Should be between 142 and 171 with less than 14 difference between high and low cylinders. You're golden!

SLD (stands for "Sweet Little Deal")...I could use some good news right now...I just ordered a new o2 sensor & fuel filter from C-Dan.

I'm glad the compression looks good, is there a way to tell about how much more life I may get outta this bad little motor?

The head gasket is probably the next thing that will go, but if it's not burning anything, it could be years before that happens. Is the timing chain fresh, or at least not original?

The timing chain looks ok. I've heard about the timing chain covers leaking, I haven't had any problems with it yet (knocking on wood)..

The timing cover leak is when the chain guide breaks and the chain cuts a groove into a water jacket. As long as the guides are ok you're probably good for a while.
