So...2021 is quickly approaching. What are people's thoughts on trail planning? Given the COVID restrictions, should we do it virtually? Have a small socially distanced meeting? Doing it virtually may be the best bet this year to get the most participation and include any Rising Sun folks who may want to coordinate their upcoming schedule. I'm interested to hear your thoughts...

Easier is probably best course of action--maybe if we solicit feedback for changes/substitutions to a repeat of the 2020 trail calendar.

For example; keep the monthly destination calendar as-is, but change what members suggest; for example in February, omit RAM Offroad Park and run Rampart Range instead (Hotel Gulch, Balanced Rock, Ice Cave, Winding Stairs).

And, in July, omit Bill Moore Lake and instead run Cloverdale Mine.

These would be my two suggested changes.

Do you guys have the 2020 schedule handy to see what would be repeated? I've been absent from the Cruiser scene for a long time, but I would like to make some rides this year.

I reached out to the Rising Sun Event Coordinator to get him linked in here. Will post his mud handle when I have it. Look forward to participating in some runs this year with y'all.

Here is the contact info for Chase, the new Rising Sun events coordinator:

I’m almost never on mud but I’ll check in over there. Give them my cell 443-223-9025 and email DanielChasePowell@gmail.com just in case

@LCPilot had an event idea: this summer let's do a BBQ cookout in the woods, and invite our Pikes Peak District friends. I like this idea (second).
There are some great spots in the same trail network you guys have been helping with recoveries in the last couple of weeks. Some sites large enough for a large BBQ/ lots of cruiser parking.

Let's do a zoom call to organize this. I can set this up. What works for everyone?

This week I am unavailable Thurs - Sat though. All other days are good though and I prefer something in the evening.

Thanks for putting this together.

Evenings (except Thursday) works for me. I wanted to suggest an early spring Moab trip. Looking at RS cruise moab this year, looks like a reduced entries this year and reduced activities. So maybe we do a trip with our club?

I'm working both Tuesday and Wednesday at 7 pm, but I might be able to pull it up on my phone at the office and participate. Wednesday looks to be the better day weatherwise. How does Wednesday sound?
