There's been discussion about putting more effort into our trail planning for next year, so I'm opening that conversation with the following trails list by region. They are compiled from the Guide to Colorado Backroads & 4-Wheel-Drive Trails by Wells & Peterson, and The Colorado Pass Book by Koch - you'll need to go to those sources (or your favorite trail guide) for all the details.
I attempted to merge the trail ratings into Wells & Peterson's red/blue/green format (hard/medium/easy). I left out most of the easy trails and those that are too far west, so this is far from a comprehensive list - the idea being I, for one, am not especially interested in driving hours on the highway for a leisurely drive on a dirt road. I have also marked trails done in recent memory with a strikethrough, but I left them on the list in case there's any interest in discussing their merits.

Schofield Pass is in crested butte.

I would probably cross off Carnage. Vic's bumper has already been put through the field test.

I don't think anyone in our group would even make it to the sign on trail on carnage haha.

I don't see Pickle Gulch or T33, or Penrose

You guys havent done any of my favorite trails yet it seems. Chinaman, Wheeler, Eagle Rock, Holy Cross

We did Eagle Rock last month. We used to do the other three trails you mentioned pretty regularly, but it’s been a long time since we’ve done them. It’s probably time to put them on the list again.

Right on .. Thats what Zac told me . I just ran 379 the week before Thats why I didn't join in I would have came if I know eagle rock was on the menu . I'm looking forward to china wall next weekend I have never ran that

We technically did Eagle Rock, because 1 club member made it to the end. I had to quit about halfway through, so I personally hope to see it make the trail ride list for 2026.

I beg to differ "We technically did" But 1 did . Not sure why you quit it's not that hard of a trail . We really should take that picture of the 4 runner down he is off trail In the 1 pic going around the pit . Some one must have moved the logs that used to be plied there to keep people from doing that

I put the jeeps away for winter and I'm not brave enough to take the 80 in there. I'll drive through Chainman and come down to watch though!

We are looking for specific trail recommendations for filling out the monthly trail rides. Pick out some of the ones that you are interested in. Use the listing from the first post in this thread. The trails that are lined out were run in the near past.
